Celebrating color, creativity, and magical moments in acrylic and watercolor batik
Hi, I’m Kathy—welcome to my colorful world.
I’m a Florida artist creating vibrant animal, wildlife, nature and coastal paintings in acrylic, watercolor and watercolor batik. My art is inspired by what I like to call “magical moments”—those small, meaningful glimpses of beauty and joy we find in the world around us. Glimmers!
After 23 years in the military and 35 years in sales and sales management, I began this artistic journey in retirement, 2014, with a deep desire to learn, grow, and create. I’ve been fortunate to study with talented artists along the way, continually evolving my style and voice.
Having lived in the Florida Keys, I draw endless inspiration from coastal life, vibrant wildlife, and the natural world around me.
And a little secret… my current favorite medium is watercolor batik—though I’ll always have a soft spot for acrylics.
My original paintings, prints and art-inspired gifts can be found in galleries and shops throughout Florida. Explore my artwork available in: Key West • Crystal River • Dunnellon • Inverness • New Smyrna Beach • Islamorada and here on my website.
Each location offers a different collection of original art, reproductions and, in select locations, functional artwork and gifts.
Welcome to a space where we can chat about stuff that might give you a peek into my art world.
